Horseback Riding

Manistee's newly renovated Vogue Theatre in downtown Manistee boasts new first-run films and old classics alike. Opened year round.

The Garden Theatre in downtown Frankfort gives you the classic movie theater experience with the comfort of a small neighborhood feel. Open year-round, and celebrating the inaugural Frankfort48 Film Festival in 2017.

Sightseeing
Whether driving to the Arcadia Look Out or Elberta Bluffs or flying over the Lake Michigan shoreline with Orchard Beach Aviation, the area has many sights to see! Visit one of the nearby lighthouses - the Manistee North Pierhead Lighthouse or the Point Betsie Lighthouse - or both. After all, no two lighthouses are the same!

Camp Tosebo is located a short stroll away from Portage Lake. Bring your boat or jet skis and enjoy hours on Portage Lake and Lake Michigan. Nature at it's Finest
Manistee County is home to the Manistee National Forest and many hiking and biking trails. Both Tippy Dam and Hodenpyl Dam are just a short drive away. The Lake Bluff Bird Sanctuary is located just south on Lakeshore Drive, and tucked away in the National Forest is the Little Manistee River Wier. Catch the salmon runs in spring and fall for a unique experience.
It's the perfect area for wildlife viewing, hunting, fishing and exploring!
