Built
in the 1930’s, the Trunk House building originally stored
each boys clothing. Each week, clean clothes were exchanged for
dirty. Boys came to camp with a footlocker – no suitcases
for this group – hence the Trunk House name.
In 1991, the interior of the upstairs was opened up, creating a large one room studio with vaulted ceilings. The living quarters are completely lined with Douglas fir bead board (original to the building and still adorned with signatures of former staff). Furnishings include a queen-size bed and a twin bed, living and dining room sets, and a small kitchenette.
The Trunk House is nestled in the woods behind the Club House and is a short walk to Portage Lake. Guests staying at the Trunk House can also take advantage of the many amenities at Camp Tosebo, some of which include 56 acres of woods and a private swimming beach.
